The Gull
Saturday 12th March 2005 - The Gull, Norwich
After a lengthy creative break at the end of 2004 Joe and Marli
are back, with a passion for what 2005 has to offer them. The last
few months Jomarl have been preoccupied with writing fresh, new
and as ever strictly original material and boy they couldnt wait
for the masses to hear it!
2005 kicked off with lads being invited by Mario and Anne, the
owners of "The Gull" pub built in 1775 on The Loddon
Rd a few miles outside Norwich to celebrate their third year of
ownership of the Freehouse and boy was it a craking evening.

Jomarl were more than glad to be given the opportunity to play
in a pub which can be classified as "Ye ole English Country
Pub" yet at the same time still hold the status of a good
Norwich pub due to it's short distance out of the City.
Jomarl played a 1 and a half hour set showcasing the newly written
material. The audience varied in age and even a more matrue member
of the audience had a chat with the lads during the interval and
said that he would only lsiten to classical music before coming
out that evening but since listening to the Jomarl Flavour his
whole opinion on music has changed.Good to know the lad's tune's
can touch young and old!!
Jomarl were also joined on stage by the Veteran muso "Andy
Hunton" who belted out a couple of his own original songs
supported by Joe on backing guitar. The evening ended with the
lads closing off the show with their acousto-hip hop anthem "Lay
off the Crack" to resounding scream's of encore from the
party faithfull. The lads were meant to finish at 11pm but due
to the "encore's" they eventually got off the stage
at 11H45 pm.
With thanks from the Govener of the pub the lads wrapped up the
evenin to raptuous applause and many smiley happy people. They
hoped the smiles were induced by their music and not by the Stella
Artois from the behind the bar???
